Last updated: 4 January 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Prodevel Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal data when you use our website and our software products. It applies under the UK GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act 2018, and (where applicable) the EU GDPR.
1. Who we are (controller)
Controller: Prodevel Limited (United Kingdom)
Email: info@prodevel.co.uk
Phone: +44 739 119 9060
If we appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) or a specific privacy contact, we will update this policy.
2. What personal data we collect
Website
- Contact data: name, email, and any details you submit via forms or enquiries.
- Usage data: pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser information, and interaction events (where analytics are enabled).
- Technical data: IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs (typically through hosting and security tooling).
Software products
- Account data: if a product supports accounts, we may collect identifiers such as name, email, username, and authentication metadata.
- Product usage data: feature usage, settings, and performance diagnostics (e.g., crash reports) to operate and improve the product.
- Support data: messages and attachments you send to support.
- Billing data: where we offer paid subscriptions directly, we use Stripe to process payments. We typically receive limited billing metadata (e.g., subscription status, invoice references) rather than full card details.
3. How we use your data (purposes)
- Provide, maintain, and secure the website and our software products.
- Respond to enquiries and provide support.
- Process subscriptions and manage billing (where applicable).
- Measure performance and improve user experience (analytics).
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Lawful bases (UK GDPR/GDPR)
We rely on one or more lawful bases depending on the context:
- Contract: to provide requested products/services (e.g., account, subscription, support).
- Legitimate interests: to run and improve our services, prevent abuse, and understand how our website/products are used (balanced against your rights).
- Consent: where required for non-essential cookies/marketing or similar technologies (if enabled).
- Legal obligation: where we must comply with applicable laws.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for site operation; others help us understand usage and marketing effectiveness.
Note: This site currently includes integrations for Google Analytics and LinkedIn Insight. Other integrations may exist in code but may not be active unless configured.
- Google Analytics (GA4): helps us understand website traffic and usage patterns.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: helps measure ad performance and website interactions for LinkedIn campaigns.
If you prefer, you can control cookies via your browser settings. If we implement a cookie banner in the future, we will provide additional controls.
6. Who we share data with
We may share personal data with:
- Service providers (processors) who help us operate our website and products (e.g., hosting, analytics, support tooling).
- Stripe (processor) to process payments for subscriptions (where applicable).
- Professional advisers (e.g., legal/accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities if required by law or to protect rights/safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Addendum and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention varies by context (e.g., support tickets, account data, subscription records).
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to maintain strong safeguards.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights including:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion (where applicable)
- Restriction or objection to processing
- Data portability (in certain circumstances)
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@prodevel.co.uk.
UK residents can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) via ico.org.uk.
11. Software Products: special privacy clauses
In addition to the general sections above, the following applies specifically to our software products published on app stores, marketplaces, or offered via the web (“Software Products”).
- Product-specific notices: individual products may display in-app privacy notices or settings. Where they differ, the product notice will clarify the details for that product.
- Accounts: if you create an account, we process data to create and manage your account, authenticate you, and provide support. Keep your credentials secure.
- Subscriptions and payments (Stripe): where subscriptions are offered directly by us, Stripe processes payment information. We receive subscription status and related billing metadata needed to provide access and customer support.
- App stores and marketplaces: if you obtain a product via Apple App Store, Google Play, Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Store, or similar, those platforms may independently act as controllers for their own processing. Their privacy policies apply to platform-side data handling.
- Diagnostics: we may collect crash logs and performance diagnostics to maintain reliability and fix issues. Where possible, we minimise and pseudonymise diagnostics.
- Business customers: if a Software Product is used under a business plan, administrators may manage accounts and access certain account metadata as part of the service.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates when changes were made. If changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting a notice on our website or within affected Software Products).
